Honored to Teach at Afrolabs, Supported by the U.S. Consulate, Empowering Brazilian Entrepreneurs
I am thrilled to share that I was recently invited to teach at Afrolabs, a project of Feira Preta supported by the U.S. Consulate. The program is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge to grow their businesses, particularly those interested in exporting raw materials from Brazil to the United States.
During my session, I had the pleasure of discussing the Brazilian market here in the U.S., which is composed of over 1.5 million Brazilians. Every year, this vibrant community sends over $2.5 billion in remittances back to Brazil, strengthening ties between the two nations (Source: Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and World Bank).
For me, it is truly an honor to apply my marketing expertise to shed light on this market that has so much untapped potential. The U.S.-Brazil trade relationship, particularly in areas like raw materials, fashion, and cultural products, could be expanded significantly. Yet, it remains underexplored compared to its vast possibilities, which could reach over $10 billion annually with the right strategic investments and support (Source: U.S. Department of Commerce).
Below, you'll find my certificate of participation and a photo from the class, where I had the privilege of teaching more than 50 entrepreneurs. These businesses ranged from grocery stores that cater to the Brazilian and Latino communities here in the U.S. to creators of African-inspired games designed to stimulate creativity in children, and even fashion lines made from industrial waste.
This experience has reinforced my belief in the tremendous opportunities that exist between our two countries, and I encourage American businesses to take notice of the market gap. Are you aware of the vast potential in this space? Let’s connect and discuss how we can bridge this gap together!
What about you? Are you aware of this market gap and its potential? Let's collaborate to unlock new opportunities!
